P.F Windibank’s Probate Valuation Service in 3 easy steps.
- Book and appointment for Simon the Auctioneer to visit the deceased property to value the Goods and Chattels of the Estate.
- We send the signed and dated probate documents to the Solicitor or Executor of the Deceased to submit to HMRC.
- Saleable items from the Probate document can be sold in our General Auction or Timed Auction.
The fee for carrying out a probate valuation is £260.00 (plus VAT) up to £13,000.00 and 2% thereafter.
Sell in one of our Auctions with approximate fees:
- 15% plus VAT commission on sold items (£6.00 plus VAT minimum fees per Lot)
- £3.00 plus VAT photograph fee up to £50.00 on sold items
- £5.00 plus VAT photograph fee over £50.00 on sold items
- 1% plus VAT insurance
- There is no charge if the item(s) do not sell
- Not sold items can be listed on the online shop after the Auction for 4 weeks (fees apply)
Sell in our Timed Auction
- 15% plus VAT commission on sold Timed Auction items
- £3.00 plus VAT internet fee up to £30.00, non-refundable
- £5.00 plus VAT internet fee over £30.00, non-refundable.
- There is no sellers commission for items that do not sell
- 1% plus VAT insurance for items held by PFW
- Not sold items can be listed on the online shop after the Auction free of charge
Unsold Lots from the Auction and Timed can be listed in our online shop for 4 weeks
- £3.00 plus VAT non-refundable up to £30.00 (no charge applies for Timed Auction)
- £5.00 plus VAT non-refundable over £30.00 (no charge applies for Timed Auction)
- 10% plus VAT commission fee for sold items
- No fee if the item is unsold after 4 weeks
If you do not wish to sell in the Auction or Timed Auction P.F Windibank are prepared to buy and also clear the remaining items at your convenience
We also buy and sell gold, jewellery and silver.
Any items that remain unsold can be collected or can be donated to charity etc.
